<2007년 내가 읽은 원서목록> 56권

 

2007년은 개인적으로 원서읽기에 있어 도전적인 한 해였다. 연말까지 읽은 영어원서를 정리해보니

모두 56권이었다. 대략 1주일에 한 권 정도 읽은 셈이었다. 개중에는 북클럽미팅을 위해 다시 읽은 책도 있지만, 전년에 비해 한층 더 다양하고 깊이있게 책읽기를 했던 한 해였다.

 

분야별로 나눠보면, 소설이 압도적으로 많고, 경제/경영 서적-12권, 사회,과학-9권, 자기개발(Self-Help)-5권, 청소년-5권, 기타가 있다.

 

이 중 기억에 남는 작품으로는 2007.8월에 읽었던 "A Good Scent from a Strange Mountain" 이 있다. 미대사관과 공동주관으로 진행했던 미국의 퓰리처 수상작가 로버트 올렌 버틀러(Robert Olen Butler) 작가와의 대화를 위해 읽었던 작품이었다.
