Time Traveler's Wife 를 읽다가 이 책을 알게되었다.

소개된 구절은 아래와 같이 두 연인이 같이있는 시간이 짧아짐을 안타까워 하는 내용이었다.

 

What is it? My dear?

Ah, how can we bear it?

Bear what?

This, For so short a time. How can we sleep this time away?

We can be quiet together, and pretend-since it is only the begining-that  we have all the time in the world.

And everyday we shall have less. And then none.

Would you rather, therefore, have had nothing at all?

No. This is where I have always been coming to. Since my

time began. And when I go away from here, this will be the

mid-point, to which everything ran, before, and from which

everything will run. But now, my love, we are here, we are now,

and those other times are running elsewhere.

짧은 내용이지만, 그 절절한 감정의 울림때문에  책이 궁금해졌다.

해외주문이라 시간은 걸렸지만, 오늘 드뎌 책을 받았다.

 

표지만봐도, 책속으로 빨려들어가는 것 같다.

앞으로 한달동안, 이 책을 계속 읽어나갈 것이다.
